Message from the Executive President, Miguel Mauricio Facusse

    November 10, 2020

Hurricane Eta has had a devastating impact on Honduras, Nicaragua, and Guatemala, resulting in loss of life and significant damage to infrastructure. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone that has been affected by this tragic natural disaster, particularly people that were already facing a humanitarian crisis due to the COVID19 pandemic.

My number one priority will always be the health and safety of Dinant’s staff and their families. If you or your loved ones require any support during this difficult time – perhaps because your home has been damaged, or you cannot get to work or to shops to buy food – please do not hesitate to ask for help and I shall do everything I can to arrange for you to get what you need.

The strength of the Dinant family has been built on the foundations of 60 years of hard work and dedication. And we have a long history of supporting communities in times of need. Our commitment extends beyond the Dinant family to our local communities too. Since the COVID19 pandemic began, Dinant has been a force for good helping over 100,000 families from 71 communities throughout Honduras by providing 200,000 lbs. of food, 40,000 liters of disinfectant, and 40,000 bars of soap – all free of charge.

And now we are going much further to serve people that need our help.

Over the last few days, we have extended our relief program to provide free essential supplies to local communities affected by Hurricane Eta. Dinant is using its experience, knowledge, and capacity to work closely with our customers, suppliers, and government officials to do our part in mitigating the devastating impacts of COVID19 and Hurricane Eta.

And this will not stop. I am determined that we will keep helping local communities and loyal customers for as long as it takes for them to get back on their feet.

Finally, I want to thank each and everyone one of you for your continued loyalty to the Dinant family. Your hard work is directly enabling people all over Honduras and the central American region – including communities, Government aid institutions and people who are on the front line fighting the COVID19 pandemic and Hurricane Eta – to get the essential Dinant brands they need, including foods, soaps and disinfectants, to feed themselves and their families and to stay safe.

    Together, we are stronger.
