At Dinant we are committed to the sustainable development of each of our interested parties. Through the Community Relations Program we carry out activities that are focused on respecting our environment in order to positively impact the lives of people in our neighboring communities.
We work together with communities, local government, NGOs, among others, to produce economic, social and environmental value through 4 priority areas of action:
Through Social and Environmental Impact Studies carried out in a participatory manner with communities, authorities, independent producers, among other interested parties, we are able to identify possible positive and negative impacts to develop mitigation and monitoring plans, including actions and projects, that help us minimize the negatives and enhance the positives.
We work on a training program to strengthen the capacities of our community leaders and also promote respect for Human Rights in a responsible environment for all, ensuring sustainable development.
All our actions are framed in the fundamental principle of sustainable development, where the efficient and responsible use of resources allows us to satisfy the needs of the present, without compromising natural resources that belong to future generations.
Under this philosophy we work together with communities through training on the importance of the environment and conservation of ecosystems. In addition, we constantly carry out reforestation days in each of the sites where we operate, and together with the Municipal Environmental Units, recycling fairs are coordinated in educational centers and other activities that help us fight climate change.
