Dinant Certifies First Group of Sustainable Providers in the ISCC Regulations
In the city of La Ceiba, the official delivery of the certificate was carried out to the first Dinant Sustainable Providers Group (DSPG), under the ISCC-International Sustainability and Carbon Certificate- which was integrated with 24 producers whose plantations are located in the departments of Cortés, Yoro, Atlántida and Colón.
In June 2018, Dinant through the SPU (Service Provider Unit), along with the producer’s group, started the implementation on their plantations of good environmental, social and economic practices, which are required by the ISCC regulations. As a support, Dinant had the support of SPU, who conducted social and environmental studies, as well as training, technical assistance, among others. The producers implemented their documentary system and standardized formats in the field, improved infrastructure on plantations, as well as the commitment to ensure that their employees enjoy adequate working conditions.
Additionally, Dinant is carrying out the accompaniment of another group of producers so that they can also obtain certification under ISCC regulations.
