Dinant expresses its rejection of the invasions registered in the early hours of today, February 17, 2023, in one of the palm producing farms in the Tumbador area in the Aguán region.
This invasion is added to the more than 11,700 hectares that are already usurped by different groups that act illegally.
As a result of this crime, more than 350 Dinant workers have had their right to work taken away by these illegal groups, preventing them from carrying out the work for which they were hired. Unfortunately, faced with these facts, more than a thousand workers have already been affected by these illegal actions that violate the fundamental rights of our collaborators, who fear losing their sources of employment, generating serious consequences to be able to support their families in a dignified manner.
We join the voices of different sectors that have also been affected by these situations and we respectfully call on President Xiomara Castro to restore order and legality, adding our voice to those of the trade union organizations, so that certainty in employment and security are a priority that contributes to social peace in our country.
